Deeper than Doctrine

Song: Deeper than Doctrine 11/30/2016
written by Laurie Tysinger and J.D. Cumberland

Stare darkly within the abyss
allow your arrogance to form your sight from the void
this is the modern medieval
and nothing has changed but the focus of the delusion.

Justifying atrocity
Killing enemies for your children
Ends endlessly justifying the means
And your children grow to become your enemies
Ever killing, ever dying for gods created by men.
Denying truth… truth deeper than doctrine.

So frightened of what I really am.
Devils, demons and infidels.
They are the ones that bear the blame.
God requires you all be sent to hell.

I need a crueler god to sate this monster inside.
A more vengeful god that redeems and justifies.
my blood-lust for global genocide.
I am the martyr, by feigning the victim I become the saint.
I pretending to be the beacon, but I am the abhorrent.
In the disillusioned masses I am the righteous jihad.
Yes… I need a new sadist messiah… to exalt me higher.
To forgive me for this blood.

Deeper than doctrine, reinforce the lie.
Shout it loud so that every heart cries.
Behead all the weak that deny,
and ridicule all the strong that defy
Render the wise ill-legitimized
All that speak truth must surely die.

Deeper than doctrine, truth is to be scorned
For millennia you have never won
Enriched and empowered by war, you rule by fear.
But still you endeavor to persevere
Only to be wiped away by eons of constant reality.
Your indoctrinated children will carry on your insanity.

Deeper than doctrine, you find yourself deep within the void
When you close your eye I am all you see.
When I close my eyes you all cease to be.
Gone much to far, you now need a new god’s cleansing resolve
Awaiting me for your salvation, to absolve
But you’ll never get my ass on a cross.
